  3. I’m so sorry to hear this. Kim and I were diagnosed with lung cancer at about the same time, and she was one of the first LC survivors I met face to face. Hers was one of the first LC blogs I found. Journey on, KimmyWink.

Kim was vibrant, independent, and so dang deep, thoughtful and real. My memory of her sharing the concept for the pizza death dinner party at a speaking event lives inside me, never to go away. Thank you for always speaking, writing and loving your truth. May her husband and family and friends find comfort and joy in sending her off to a peaceful next place. Much love to everyone in her life, and to everyone living with lung cancer.

I’m heartbroken. She was one of the first survivors I “met.”. Her insight and sense of humor in the face of so much adversity amazed me. Rest well, sweet KmmyWink.

  10. Carter Smith says:

So sad to hear this news. Kim was absolutely one of a kind, with an amazing blend of ferocious strength, humor and compassion, which in turn boosted the strength, humor, and compassion in those around her. To say she was a shining light in the cancer support group seems a feeble understatement at best. A true inspiration beyond words. Thank you, Kim. You will be missed.
And deepest, heartfelt sympathies, Spencer. I know there are no words right now… but sending caring thoughts from my heart.
