My first thought is wow! You started this blog in May 2011 and it’s still going in 2017! I decided to leave my reply on your blog on the day I was diagnosed with stGe 4 lung cancer and a brain tumor on my brain stem.. Blood clots will form soon after.. I have been trying to find stories and blogs close to my age to try and make some sense out of this nothing makes sense crazy cancer diagnosis. My very stubborn, determined, and crazy tired 37 year old self is trying to desperately finish out my school year with my students (though I ended up taking off about a month and half between my initial hospital stay/diagnosis and cyber knife treatment and recovery. But feeling tired, run down, totally a case of cranky pants and really impatient are the top adjectives I would use to describe the kind of person/teacher I have become. Reading about some of the experiences you have gone through these past 6 years has given me so much insight.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Leah S. Hammerman
