Musings of an Insomniac

Awake at 5 am this morning and out of who knows where, I’m the spider! hit me like a bolt of lightening.

Remember that itsy-bitsy-spider that crawled up the water spout? Then rain. Sun.  Another crawling attempt. That is me in my current state.

My noggin remains a ball of instability. Trapping me in a loop of headaches, hospitals, steroids, insomnia, and scans. Barricades making it feel impossible to squeeze in living and enjoying life.

Finding my way up the spout again.

Kiln cleaning gear.

Crafting it up with some whimsical stained glass projects. Finally, cleaning & priming my kiln shelf after its last firing countless weeks ago. I’m creeping along which is far better than not.

    NATURAL HISTORY
    E.B. White

The spider, dropping down from twig,
Unfolds a plan of her devising,
    A thin premeditated rig
    To use in rising.

And all that journey down through space,
In cool descent and loyal hearted,
She spins a ladder to the place
    From where she started.

Thus I, gone forth as spiders do
In spider’s web a truth discerning,
Attach one silken thread to you
    For my returning.

Dear Kim, may the devotion of your friends and the small delights and triumphs of your days weave a powerful web of love for you and SW.
    Holly

I would like to say that in that kiln cleaning outfit, you have never looked sexier…..but I can’t. I can say that the outfit indicates would make a very, very attractive moth.
Sorry to see that the wondrous restfulness of sleep is difficult for you to find right now. However, I am enjoying the fruits of you late night craftiness! Thank you for the stained glass bird in the window. : )
