One of my smarty pants girlfriends, Molly, said to me years ago, “I can’t complain when I’m worn out because I over-commit myself.” Yes, that statement made all kinds of sense to me. But, was I ready to stop complaining about my commitments from that day forward?
The next 7 days have me anxious. This weekend I need to prepare a short speech on Early Detection of Cancer that will be delivered on Friday. Monday, I’m hosting a cancer survivor support group. Tuesday is my OHSU triathlon (MRI, CT, EKG). Wednesday is nothing…well, not nothing, it’s my BIG turning three-seven day. Thursday is Oncologist day; find out if/when I will start my next line of treatment. Friday I’ll be at the State Legislature to deliver my Early Detection spiel on behalf of OHSU.
Yup. I’m busy. Molly would be proud; I’m not complaining.
Not sure I have ever heard you complain… Curious about your early detection points. Sometimes I can be a tad pissy on that topic. You are in my thoughts for the highs and lows of b-day/test week.

Looking forward to seeing you Monday! I miss you… xxoo
Wow, sounds exciting, nerveracking, stressful, and wonderful all at once. I hope all goes well with each event. Happy birthday, and welcome to 37!

Thank you Tori! You certainly won’t hear me complain about getting older.
What a week! After weeks like that I tend to collapse in a puddle for a couple of days. Hope you have a chance to relax afterwards. Best wishes for awesome results on you OHSU trifecta!
I’m sure I will collapse. It will be the perfect time for me to catch up on Downton Abbey and Sherlock on PBS.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Thank you G!
