Trying to distract myself from next weeks scans, results, and likely treatment change, SW and I ran away to the beach for a few days. We were lucky to also have the company of SW’s dad, Ray, and step-mom, Tina. A lovely time was had in the sleepy town of Manzanita, Oregon.
Highlights, other than the wonderful beach include:
- Big Wave Cafe (Manzanita, OR)- Tasty spot for breakfast.
- T-Spot (Manzanita, OR)- Super cute shop for gifts to give away or keep for yourself.
- The Irish Table (Cannon Beach, OR)- Great place for a wonderful dinner.
- Old Wheeler Antiques (Wheeler, OR)- An impressive collection of Art Deco lighting.
missed your posts. happy you went away to somewhere beautiful. happy you had great company and went to some good places. hoping for the best next week, love, g
Thanks G! I don’t have much to share…except I’m hungry. I really need to hit the grocery store! 🙂
no worries (sharing hunger thought
s is cool by me) – hope you have a nice weekend 🙂
Those are two beautiful pictures! So glad you were able to get away for a few days. I’m sure Ray & Tina enjoyed the trip, too. Looks like a lot of neat places to visit while there.
Vacations are almost always wonderful. Except when you end up getting mice in your truck!
Glad you had some beautiful and restful distractions before your scan. Hoping for good results!
You and me both! I’m happy to read about your involvement with ALA. You go girl!
I’ve just been thinking about you and have wondered how you might be doing. Our little Zach is due for scans too. He has had some kidney issues, so we too, may have to go off of Crizotinib. So for now it is one day at a time! Praying for you, Kim! Keep us posted!
I’m sorry to hear about little Zach’s kidney issues. I hope his brilliant docs can find a solution. …Must be hard. Sending hugs your way!
Holy Wow!!
It was gorgeous! Also, very cold. I was very foolish to leave my hat at the beach house one afternoon.
