Too Many Tomatoes

I’m not a huge gardener.  In fact, I’m better described as a tiny gardener.  I most often pick the brain of my friend, Julie, and do what she says.  For the most part it all turns out pretty A-OK!

Huge TomI’m not sure what the heck is going on with my Sugar Gold tomato plant.  It’s huge and producing like a mad plant!  As a young child I would sit in the garden and eat.  I was very happy eating every small tomato and/or strawberry in sight.  (I did run into a problem when I found my way into my neighbor’s garden.  Oops.)   Not much has changed.  Oh, but my insides have!

Roughly 2 years ago I had 66 grays of radiation to my upper chest.  My throat, burnt to a crisp, had the most impact on me.  Two days ago, after eating a dozen plus tiny tomatoes, that oh-so-familure radiation pain returned the following AM.  This time it was minimal in comparison, but still uncomfortable.  Still today, I am eating a limited diet.  Even bananas burn.

The upside is this is not unchartered waters.  I have a pretty good idea of what I can eat/drink and what I can’t.  The downside is I have dinner plans tonight at Trigger and I really want to enjoy it.

  1. No more tomatoes for you my friend!!! I know what you mean they taste so much better when they come from your own garden! I could eat like 50 of those bad boys!

  2. I hope dinner at Trigger’s was wonderful and easy to swallow! Xoxo

I’m just getting around to catching up on your blog. I didn’t know you weren’t feeling well the day we went to Trigger!!! You could have rescheduled, friend. I will ALWAYS understand if you want to reschedule, no matter how last minute it is. I hope my and Julie’s company compensated for the unpleasant eating!!! 🙂
