Getting away to Leavenworth, Washington hit the spot! No demands what-so-ever! I had no guilt for lounging around instead of planting my tomato plants. (I’m having a tad bit of guilt about the tomato plants right now.)
I was reminded of a few things I had filed far, far away.
- Hanging out with my friends is wonderful. Lately, not feeling well, I’ve been driving some distance between them. Silly me. I’m much more mighty when they are near.
- Climbing is a blast for me. It’s tough to go back to an activity and not be quite as good as you once were. So it goes. For this one, it is better for me climb a little weaker than not at all. Now running, I’ll skip that all together.
- I don’t enjoy camping in the wet. Waking up to rain Sunday morning was a downer. Most of our posse packed up and left a day early.
Coming home a day early however was not a total loss. I was able to pick up some lovely, challenging to find, hood strawberries at the local market. Made this strawberry & spinach salad a hit at our Monday night BBQ. Delish!
