The weekend away at the Oregon Coast was delightful. At one point, I turned to SW and said, “I am so totally happy and relaxed. I have not a single thing to do but to simply be me.” Truthfully, I don’t think I’ve ever felt so completely calm in my life. The feeling was so unusual; it was better than fantastic.
At home, life continues to be relatively peaceful. Even though, I can’t help but feel the demands of the laundry sitting in the dryer or the empty humming-bird feeder. I wonder, is it the tasks to complete or the timeline I place on them that causes stress. Perhaps, a little bit of both.
To remind me of my beach bliss is this silly video, me flying SW’s kite.
My hectic week is just getting started. To ensure success, my nails are freshly coated with kick-ass-red polish.
Glad you had a weekend get-away with SW ! Like the color, go girl & you kick-_ _ _ this week !
Bless you and SW –
Will do, Diane! 🙂
What a wonderful post. It warms my heart to hear about your restful, relaxing weekend. Thanks for reminding us of the power of simple pleasures. And all the best to you both this week!
Simple pleasures are grand!
Wahoo! RED! That’s what I like to hear! I’m glad you had a nice weekend!
It was a wonderful weekend for certain. The red was fun too…but now it’s looking a little iffy. Might switch to sea foam green. Shade is still TBD.
Have a great weekend Jules!
