Like last year, SW and I ran off to the Oregon Coast to celebrate my birthday. We are staying in a great house just a block off the beach – thank you Dawn & Susan!
Two nights away is what we both need to recharge our batteries after a week of friends staying with us. What a treat it was to see you M & S!
Next week is a big one for me. Tuesday I turn the big three-six and get my teeth cleaned (boo!). Wednesday is the brain MRI (first in 21 months) and chest CT. Thursday is a sit down with Dr S. I’m worn out thinking about it.
Now, time to finish my coffee, put on a rain coat, and walk to the beach. Life is good.
Happy Birthday, Kim!! Looks like a beautiful day out there. 🙂
Thank you! We were very lucky to have pleasant weather. Take care, Jamie. xoxo
hope you have a super happy birthday and hope the scans turn out well too!
Tomorrow will be grand! Scans…well…we will see Thursday. I am hopeful though…
Treasure time together and happiest of birthday wishes!
Patrick
Thank you, Patrick. It’s so easy to say and difficult to do. But, I am much better at treasuring the time now, than I was a few years ago. A good skill to acquire with age.
Happy Birthday! Get some sand in inappropriate places!
Back atcha babe!
Hope you have a wonderful birthday!
Beth
Beth, Thank you! No big plans tomorrow but got to get my teeth cleaned. Kind of crazy to do that on my birthday, right? I really really REALLY dislike the dentist. (Clearly, I had to get that off my chest.)
Happy last night of 35!! And, a very happy happy happy 36th birthday tomorrow. Hope there were some great blue skies at the beach (or some really great storm watching going on, if not).
Thank you Valerie! I am one of those crazy people who loves getting older. I so badly want to complain about achy bones, gas prices, and kids when I was a kid. I guess we all have dreams, right?
Would like to hear how your Hawaii trip went…
We had a blast in Hawaii, and took the long guided snorkel tour with the company you recommended. They were awesome and thank you so much for the referral! It was the 3 stop / 5 hour tour? At the first stop — the Place of Refuge, a medium sized, black-tipped reef shark came around the corner at us. My 8 yr old’s worst nightmare, and the only thing she’d worried about for her first trip to Hawaii. As you can imagine, the shark couldn’t care less about us and swam on. Turned out to be a great day…..swam with many, many turtles, had two different types of dolphins visit us at the boat, lots of beautiful coral/fish, and had fairly good weather. The rest of the trip was awesome. Such a huge island, and not enough time to see but just a fraction of it. We splurged on our last day and did the helicopter out of Hilo airport, over to the lava field and Pu’u O’o crater. We’ll try to go back someday.
