A nationwide event is taking place on November 13th. It’s the Shine a Light on Lung Cancer Vigil hosted by Lung Cancer Alliance. You bet I’ll be there! I am also asking you all to participate by attending this event.
I don’t have an agenda to distribute for the night, but I do know that my rock star of an oncologist Dr Sandler (Dr S) will be speaking. (Huge thank you to my friend Jamie for encouraging him and his wonderful team to participate in this event.)
I am not asking for your financial contributions. I’m asking for your time. Please take a few hours out of your day to learn about the disease I spend every moment of my day with. Please, join me there!
Love it!
You started it… 🙂
I’ll be there!
That’s wonderful Alicia! Thank you.
Hi KIm! I love that phrase “nationwide”. My “nationwide” Shine A Light On Lung Cancer by Lung Cancer Alliance is this Saturday, Nov 4th in Hershey PA. You ‘left coast’ folks just have to be different. 🙂
Patrick.
Patrick,
Yup, we’re a bit different over here. Portlanders have embraced it by posting “keep portland weird” stickers out and about.
Hope the event is a good one!
I will see you there!
Molly is going to make us some rad shirts to wear:)
Yay! …and of course Molly is making rad shirts. She’s fantastic!
I have to see if New Jersey is having anything in my area. After Sandy I am afraid that so many things will be cancelled or postponed. Remember today is day 3 of LUNG CANCER AWARENESS Month. Spread the word.
Take care everyone.
Lynn
Hello Lynn,
Hope your hometown is recovering from Sandy.
I am doing my best to promote the month- thanks for the reminder!
This looks great, Kim! Most events here involve walking which isn’t my forte. 🙂 Thanks for trying to educate as many people as possible!
So true about the events! A big one for the American Lung Association in Portland is a bike ride from the City Center to the coast…200 miles. Count me out!
Oh, hell yeah, I’ll be there!!!
Yippee Skippy!
Kim, I went to register for this and it asked if I wanted to register as an individual or as part of a team. Do you have a team?
No team. I am going to pick up a handful of white balloons for the “unofficial team”.
Thanks for participating!
