I was nervous for todays appointment with Dr S.  It was our first “results” talk.   I was not only worried about the results.  I could not stop the endless circle of questions in my head.  How would he tell me the news?  Will I understand what he says?  Will he give me the radiology report?  Will he show me images?  What floor is he on again?

SW joined me at this appointment and I’m very thankful for that.  I’m also thankful that the appointment was quite UN-eventful.

Dr S was charming as ever to talk to.  The way he communicates is compatible with my communication style.  I don’t see us going out for beers, but I see a long relationship with him as my oncologist.

Now the big news…

No interval disease progression.

Yes!  (My lung cancer is stable.)

Now, it is nap time for me.  I hope to get in the winks I missed out on last night.
