No-love for the Mondays

I don’t have the American standard Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm job any longer but my no-love for the Monday has not changed.

My Monday consisted of spending 3 and a half hours at Kaiser trying to figure out what was wrong with me.  I was experiencing severe pain in my left leg between my groin and my knee for the past 2 days.  After an ultrasound and a TON of blood work it was determined that I had a blood clot.

(I filled everyone of those suckers up!)

Now, I get to give myself lovely shots in the belly, daily.  Exactly how long this process is going to go on is unknown.  It will be determined by my new doc at OHSU after I transition.  Although, It is looking like it will be for the next 6-9 months.

I liked the fact that I only had one health problem in my life- the big C.  It’s a big one, but it is only one.  That is no longer the case.  I don’t like clutter.  I don’t like collecting things.  I REALLY hate collecting health problems.

How was your Monday?

Oy! Health problems are not a fun collection hobby… and shots in the belly? Eeeeeesh. Did something from your treatment cause the clot? Hoping the clot breaks up soon.

    Lame.

UGH!! So sorry to hear that. Like Cancer, that sucks! You will be an old pro at the shots in no time. Keeping fingers and toes crossed that the little bugger goes away right quick.

Yikes … and I was feeling a bit put out having to have blood, weight, blood pressure and EKG tests last Fri. for insurance purposes! As usual, you are way ahead of me! Let’s hope this is short-term, so you can concentrate only on the big C. Miss you! Mark Hawkins
