Last Saturday SW and I had a fabulous day out in Portland. We were given tickets to Santaland Diaries, a play put on by Portland Center Stage. Once again the generous gift was from my coworkers. (Aren’t they just fabulous people!) They wanted to give SW and I a fun day out and that is exactly what we got! Thank you.
I’ve been trying hard to boost up my energy as I prepare to go back to work on January 3rd. Keeping this in mind SW and I jumped on public transportation at noon last Saturday and rode it just inside of Downtown Portland. We walked constantly from art gallery to art gallery until the show started at 2:00.
The show was incredible. Both of us enjoyed the adult humor in this one man David Sedaris show. I give it two thumbs up.
After the show we stuck around Downtown for some shopping and dinner. (Eating food update: I’m FINALLY eating foods without the use of pain pills or throat numbing liquid. It is wonderful to almost be eating like a normal person. I think it is going to take a full month to be totally pain free but I can accept this.) I was exhausted when we arrived at home around 7:00.
Thank you to all my coworkers who chipped in on the tickets. You made my weekend very special.
