I’ve been on my new chemo drug for four days. Administrative complications caused delay, I was able to get started on it Tuesday, October 4th. Being Patient #1 has ups and downs.
The drug is certainly doing things to my insides! I’m looking forward to my body getting adjusted to it. So far nothing has been horrible but life the last 3 days has not been terribly enjoyable either. Finally, today I felt good enough to leave the house for an hour or so to run errands. (Knowing we are having house guests soon is extra motivation!)
Generally not all that much is new for me. On a regular basis I still go to acupuncture, shiatsu massage, cancer therapy, and naturopath appointments.
I’ve recently made an appointment to see THE northwest region lung cancer specialist, Dr S, who came highly recommended by Dr L. SW and I are looking forward to hearing what he has to say on the 27th. I am interested to see how “the big cheese people skills” compare to the other specialists I’ve encountered during my sentence, I mean, on my path.
For those of you who actually remember and continue to ask me, the additional information collected from the adrenal gland biopsy shows nothing in terms of prescribing me a different drug. I am happy about that. I’m pleased to be in a group with a new drug and hopeful that it will work on me for years and years.
Oh, also my recent EKG shows my heart is good & healthy.
Again, feel free to comment with questions, I’ll respond as time allows.
I still love visitors!
