I will be checking into Sunnyside Hospital at 7:30 am on Wednesday, September 21st for doctors to collect another cancer sample.  This time of my right adrenal gland.

First, I will have an appointment with the radiologist/surgeon who will perform the CT guided biopsy to explain the procedure and answer questions. Immediately (2 hours in hospital time) after this appointment I will go to the MPU (medical procedures unit) for the biopsy.

The whole shebang will take 4-6 hours.

Don’t wish me luck with the procedure…wish me the EGFR marker in my cancer!

Dr L just told me some good news. I was under the impression that only ONE variation of my metastasized lung cancer was treatable – NOT the case. TWO variations are treatable.  I love a challenge!
