It’s been too long since I have given you all a general update! Truth is, I’ve been rather sick.
Most of you read that I was in the hospital fighting pneumonia August 20-24th. That was a rather scary moment in my life. I have never been so thankful to be in a hospital getting 24-hour care. I am certain that if I did not go to the hospital when I did, on the afternoon of Saturday the 20th, I would not be alive today. The final prognosis was pneumonia with a side of stomach flu for good measure.
(Thank you SW and mom for taking turns looking after me, every hour of every day, while I was in the hospital! Special thanks to the hospital staff too, I could not do what they do!)
When I went home on the 24th I was still rather ill. For the next 7 days, through the 31st, I spent most of my day in bed. (Thank you friends who came over to cook, clean, and do yard work. Sorry if you heard disgusting coughing sounds coming from my bedroom!)
Thursday, September 1st was a turning point for me. SW managed to drag me and my defeated attitude out of the house and to my acupuncture appointment. It was just what I needed to turn myself around!
Since the 1st every day I have- walked to the downstairs part of my house, meditated in the sunshine, gone on a walk (my goal is to make it 6 blocks by the end of the week!), and worn proper undergarments now that I’m not living in my jammies!
