Today was my last day of Chemo- yippee-skippy for that! SW and I are going to celebrate by picking up two pieces of AMAZING cheesecake from Pizza Fino. I hope that the tasty treat is as wonderful as I remember it a few weeks ago. If not, I’m sure SW won’t mind having my share.
My tastes and ability to consume food are changing dramatically every few days. It’s a bit of a bummer for me, the food lover. I’ve started a ranked list of food items I want to consume when I am back to my normal eating self. Surprisingly, a big-greasy cheese burger and french fries is my top choice. I REALLY want to take a huge bite made up of several different layers; taste each item; chew each item; and swallow them all with one big gulp.
Today my bites are about the size of your pointer finger nail. I chew to form a soft paste. Then I can swallow. All of this is only possible AFTER I take my throat numbing medicine.
What an interesting world I had no clue existed. I can’t help but wonder what else is going on around me that I am so unaware of?
