The actual procedure part of Biopsy #2 went much better than Biopsy #1. The smart & equally annoyed with the schedule delay, Dr Filner was able to get “material” from both the infected lung and lymph node. This material will be tested next week to determine the exact strain of lung cancer I have. Based on this information, Dr Lackowski (Dr L) will whip me up a chemotherapy cocktail ready for consumption on June 6th. Lucky me!

Tomorrow SW & I meet with Medical Oncologist Dr L. We will go over the details of the PET Scan which did show infection in the the right side lymph node as well. That bit of news places me at Stage 3b. The “b” does not change the treatment plan.
