On Wednesday, May 11, Kim was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. With your help and support she is going to fight this very pesky inconvenience and kick its ASS!
“What kind of help and support,” you ask? Well we’re not entirely sure yet. Your positive thoughts in whatever way you choose to send them for starters. As Kim starts her cancer demolition program then we’ll probably need some help with getting to appointments, house or yard work, errands, etc.
This website has some terrific tools for coordinating help, keeping everyone up-to-date on what’s happening and more importantly how she’s doing.
Kim is scheduled to start 7 weeks of radiation on Monday, June 6 along with her first round of chemo. The second round of chemo will happen at Week 4 or 5 of radiation. The radiation appointments happen Monday through Friday and are 30 minute appointments. Chemo will happen on Days 1 through 5 and Day 8 (it will repeat at Weeks 4 or 5).
