Not Watching the Ball

Trying to distract myself from next weeks scans, results, and likely treatment change, SW and I ran away to the beach for a few days.  We were lucky to also have the company of SW’s dad, Ray, and step-mom, Tina.  A lovely time was had in the sleepy town of Manzanita, Oregon.

Manzanita

Highlights, other than the wonderful beach include:

  1. Big Wave Cafe (Manzanita, OR)- Tasty spot for breakfast.
  2. T-Spot (Manzanita, OR)- Super cute shop for gifts to give away or keep for yourself.
  3. The Irish Table (Cannon Beach, OR)- Great place for a wonderful dinner.
  4. Old Wheeler Antiques (Wheeler, OR)- An impressive collection of Art Deco lighting.

Those are two beautiful pictures! So glad you were able to get away for a few days. I’m sure Ray & Tina enjoyed the trip, too. Looks like a lot of neat places to visit while there.

I’ve just been thinking about you and have wondered how you might be doing. Our little Zach is due for scans too. He has had some kidney issues, so we too, may have to go off of Crizotinib. So for now it is one day at a time! Praying for you, Kim! Keep us posted!
